Smoothies for breakfast, ala Deann & Gayle. Good for you and dairy free. Of course you could make them with regular old cow’s milk if you’re so inclined.
1 cup vanilla almond milk
1 cup frozen fruit (berries, peaches, bananas, pineapple, it’s all good)
1 Tablespoon flax seeds
1 Tablespoon chia seeds
1/2 cup kale or spinach
Stick it all in the blender and you’re good to go.
You can also try adding some yogurt, anything with live, active cultures preferred. Try adding some PB Fit, which is fat free powdered peanut butter.
And if you have one of those old style blender with the blade assembly that screws onto the bottom, try replacing your blender top with a Mason jar, and blend your smoothie right in the jar. Keep several jars of cut up fruit in your freezer ready to go.
